Our AGM is tomorrow (Tuesday) night at 7 pm in the library - right next to the pool.

We need a new exec committee - positions will be vacated and the current committee are stepping down. Who do we need?
- Chair - Leads committee, chairs the meetings held twice per term, provides leadership and guidance to committee. Provides financial approval for payment of accounts with Treasurer.
- Vice Chair (1-2 people) - support the Chair in execution of duties, decision-making support, leads meetings in absence of chair.
- Secretary - Takes meeting minutes, manages emails/communication in/out, liaises with the Chair for any time-sensitive communication. (Approx 30 mins/week, 5 mins most days).
- Treasurer - Liaises with Club Coordinator to ensure accounting up to date, liaises with P&C Treasurer re audit requirements, prepares report for meetings twice per term (simple), ensures accounts are paid. This role would suit someone with a book-keeping/accounts background. We are moving to Xero (from Quikbooks) in the near future.

How do we communicate as an exec? We have a WhatsApp group; all exec have access to email account; meetings twice per term.

Other positions also vacant:
- Volunteer Coordinator (filled)
- Carnival Coordinator (organise 1-3 events per season), mostly email based. Liaise with Race Secretary (Karen).
- Raffle Coordinator (seeks donations for raffles for home hosted carnivals)
- Awards Night Coordinator - planning of the celebration evening - location, catering etc (held in May each year typically).
- Canteen Convenor/Coordinator - this could be 2 people - one to shop and prep canteen, another to plan menu & provide support on a Friday night. This has capacity to be a part-paid position.
- Social Media/ Communications - manage team communications via TeamApp and Facebook. Looking to implement WhatsApp communication moving forward.

CLUB CHAMPIONSHIPS 28-29 March
This is our huge event of the season. Swimmers compete in their year birth category and are awarded medals for place.
There are number of swim requirements and nominations are currently open. They will close next Saturday 21st March at 12pm MIDDAY SHARP. No late nominations can be accepted.
If your swimmer doesn’t normally swim the allocated distance but would like to be considered, please nominate them and we will discuss if it is appropriate (looking at safety and skill). Swimming Queensland rules for disqualification and penalisation are used at this event.

It’s a big weekend but the kids have a great time!

LTS & SQUAD NEWS
- Enrolments rollover into term 2, so please let us know ASAP if you aren’t planning to continue next term. Remember that 2 weeks notice is required.
- Easter holiday Intensives - an EOI will be out later this week with further information. The exact timetable will depend on final numbers so please ensure you let us know if you are keen to swim.

BEHAVIOUR REMINDER
- Please ensure that your swimmers are supervised appropriately both before and after lessons, and on Friday nights. Any children outside the pool confines need to be under the supervision of an adult for safety.
- A reminder to parents and caregivers that if you have any behaviour concerns with children other than your own or those under your supervision or another adult to please either approach the Senior Coach on pool deck (if it needs to be dealt with immediately) or to email your concern to the club.
