Friday Night Club
Club nights are back in term 4!
Gates open 5:30pm. Cheers at 6pm. First event 6:15pm. Usual finish time is around 8pm.
We welcome swimmers of all abilities with novice supported 12.5m events, 25m, 50m, 100m & 200m events (order in a rotational basis).
These nights are all about self improvement and working towards personal best times. Events are multi-age with swimmers of like abilities usually grouped together.
Visitors are welcome to swim up to 2 times before registering.

Carnivals
Our first carnival is the KLM on 25th October hosted by Zillmere Electric Eels. This is a selected carnival with the fastest 2 swimmers selected for each event. We strongly encourage swimmers to attend our first Friday night if they are keen to be available for selection.
There are 2 further carnivals in term 4, at least one of which is open to all swimmers. As we receive further information from hosts we will let you know.
Carnivals are a great opportunity to give swimmers race practice and support their team.

Club Captain Nominations OPEN
Nominations for our 2025/26 Club Captains are OPEN.
We welcome nominations from swimmers in Year 4 and above. Swimmers do not need to be VSS students – we welcome all swimmers from our community.
Captains and their families are expected to attend the majority of Friday Club Nights, Carnivals and club events.
If your swimmer is interested in nominating for Club Captain please email the club and we will send further information.
Voting for Club Captains will be on Friday Club Night week 3 (24/10/25).

Blue Cards (Working with Children Check)
There are some significant upcoming changes to the requirement for parents to have Blue Cards. In light of this, parents and primary care givers are strongly encouraged to please obtain a VOLUNTEER blue card. A separate post with this information will be distributed as soon as we have further details. If you already have a Blue Card or Exemption Blue Card please forward your details to Karen or include them in your Registration application for this season.

Working Bee 🐝
We are having a short working bee on Monday 6th October from 2:30pm-4pm.
We will be doing a deep clean of the canteen,
general clean up around and under stands.
Please come and give us a hand. An event with RSVP will be created on TeamApp so we know how many people to expect.
Please bring along:
- Closed in footwear
- Gloves
- Rakes
- Shovels
- High pressure water cleaner
